Police Ladies coach Yussif Basigi was full of pride after watching his side respond strongly in their second group game at the WAFU B qualifiers for the CAF Women's Champions League.

Basigi explained that lessons from their opening defeat against Bayelsa Queens shaped the team's approach on Wednesday evening.

The Ghanaian side looked sharper and more confident, beating Benin's Sam Nelly 3-1 at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro.

Goals from Grace Animah, Sarah Nyarkoh, and Deborah Afriyie sealed the important win that kept their hopes alive in the competition.
