Member of Parliament for Bantama in the Ashanti Region, Francis Asenso Boakye, has debunked claims that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is an establishment candidate.
According to him, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's candidature is not being pushed by the leadership of the New Patriotic Party, but rather, it is being pushed by the grassroots.
He says he, as a member of parliament, was pushed by the wave to join the former vice president. "Who is pushing?
If the grassroots are pushing, no one can stop it.
