The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has announced the suspension of the license of Evanex Gold Enterprise, a licensed Tier-2 gold buyer, with immediate effect.

In a statement issued on August 28, 2025, GoldBod explained that the decision follows an adverse investigative finding involving illegal gold pricing by the company, a breach of its licensing terms and conditions. "We wish to inform the general public that we have suspended the license of Evanex Gold Enterprise with immediate effect," the Compliance Directorate of GoldBod said. "This action follows findings of illegal gold pricing made against the company, contrary to the terms of its license." GoldBod further cautioned all stakeholders within the gold trading sector against engaging in any business with Evanex Gold Enterprise until further notice. "Notice is hereby given to all licensed traders, miners, and the general public to desist from trading and/or engaging in any form of gold transaction with Evanex Gold Enterprise forthwith," the statement warned.

The regulator emphasized its commitment to upholding industry standards and maintaining transparency within the gold trading sector. "GoldBod remains committed to enforcing the laws and regulations that govern the gold trading sector in the spirit of accountability and transparency," the statement concluded.
