The Ashanti Kingdom is preparing to bid a final farewell to its late Queen Mother, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, whose funeral rites will be held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi from September 14 to 18, 2025.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III, who passed away at dawn on August 7, 2025, was deeply revered for her pivotal role in the Kingdom's traditional affairs.
A one-week observation in her honor was already marked on August 21 at the forecourt of Manhyia Palace, drawing mourners from all walks of life.
In keeping with Ashanti customs, the upcoming funeral will see significant cultural observances.
