The (NDC) has announced that individuals aspiring to contest for the party's parliamentary candidate for the upcoming Tamale Central by-election will be required to pay a total of GH¢45,000 to enter the race.
In a press release outlining guidelines for the party's primary, the NDC stated that aspirants must pay a non-refundable nomination fee of GH¢5,000, in addition to a filing fee of GH¢40,000.
The statement, signed by the party's General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, noted that female aspirants and persons with disabilities are entitled to a 50 percent reduction on the filing fee.
Nominations will be open from Friday, August 22, to Sunday, August 24, 2025.
