Peace Watch Ghana, a registered non-profit organization advocating for peace and security, has stated that the August 6 helicopter crash was a preventable disaster.
Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, the organization's Executive Director, argued that the presence of the Lands and Natural Resources Minister and the Regional Minister was sufficient to represent the President at the event.
She noted that authorities should minimise the number of appointees attending state events to cut costs and ensure the safety of officials.
Daniels stressed that there was no need for the Defence Minister and other personnel to have traveled to the location, as the two ministers already in attendance could have adequately represented the President.
