President John Dramani Mahama has set up a Children's Support Fund to provide comprehensive support to the children of the victims of the August 6, 2025, helicopter crash.
The Fund will cover the children's education from primary school to tertiary or technical training, healthcare, including medical insurance and specialized care when needed and welfare support such as clothing, shelter, and essential living expenses.
The President announced the establishment of the Fund during the State Funeral for the eight victims, held at the Black Star Square in Accra.
He expressed gratitude to Stanbic Bank for opening an account with an initial contribution of GH₵500,000.
