The tragic passing of former Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and seven others in a fatal helicopter crash at Adansi Sikaman, while en route to an event at Obuasi, has left many of those who shared close connections with him in deep pain and sorrow.

Though the victims of the crash have been laid to rest with a befitting state burial, more stories continue to emerge about Dr Omane Boamah's kindness and generosity prior to his tragic passing.

The latest is a poem he wrote for nine-year-old Setor before he went into the theatre.

Dr Boamah had financially sponsored the medical surgery of the little boy.
