A state funeral will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, to honour the victims of the August 6 helicopter crash in Adansi Akrufuom, the government has announced.

The ceremony, to be conducted with full military honours by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), will bring together state officials, families, and the public in remembrance of the eight lives lost.

Deputy Chief of Staff Stan Dogbe said at a Thursday press briefing that the programme will open with Bible and Qur'an recitals, followed by the main service and burial.

Events will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the Vice President expected at 8:50 a.m.
