VfB Stuttgart has sent a strong message about its ambitions for the coming season after turning down a big-money offer for forward Jamie Leweling.

According to Sky's Florian Plettenberg, Nottingham Forest submitted an official bid worth €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses for the 24-year-old German-Ghanaian forward.

The Bundesliga side swiftly rejected the approach, signalling their determination to keep one of their most dynamic attackers.

Leweling has impressed with his pace, direct play and work ethic, becoming a key part of Stuttgart's attack.
