Residents of Adwafo in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region experienced a high level of nervousness on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, when a helicopter made an emergency landing in the community.
The anxiety of the people stemmed from the recent unfortunate development that befell the same district when the Z9 helicopter, which belonged to the Ghana Armed Forces, crashed near the Adansi Brofoyedu forest.
The aircraft, which made the emergency landing, reportedly bore the name International Aircraft Services, with registration number AS 365N3.
According to the District Chief Executive for Adansi Akrofuom, Gariba Mohammed Musatpha, he received a call that there had been an emergency landing of a helicopter in the town. "What prompted me to come was the recent incident that happened the other day, and the town is close to us, with investigations still ongoing.
