Former Ghana U17 coach Frimpong Manso says his departure from the Black Starlets will not derail the team's progress, as his assistants will continue the work they started.

Manso stepped down from the role last month, citing the challenge of managing both the national team and his club side, Bibiani GoldStars.

He had spent seven months scouting and preparing the Starlets before being replaced by Prosper Narteh Ogum — just a month before the WAFU B U17 Championship in Nigeria.

The former Black Stars defender, who led GoldStars to their first Ghana Premier League title last season, is now focused on guiding the club into their debut CAF Champions League campaign in late August, ahead of the new domestic season on September 12.
