The Acting Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), , has praised the consistency and dedication of the late Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, describing him as someone who stood by his position regardless of external pressure.
Speaking to on August 8, 2025, Avedzi recounted his extensive working relationship with Murtala over the past eight years, both in Parliament and on key committees. "If somebody defends his position, no matter what kind of pressure you put on him, he will stand by it as it is.
I worked with him for eight good years, not only as a Member of Parliament but also as a member of my committee.
When I was chairman of the Finance Committee, he served on it for four years.
