The has arrested two individuals seen in a viral TikTok video threatening to harm President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama.
According to the Police Service, other individuals believed to be accomplices are on the run and a manhunt is underway to apprehend them.
In a statement issued on August 12, 2025, the Police said, "The has commenced investigations into a viral TikTok video in which an individual is heard threatening the lives of the President of the Republic, H E John Dramani Mahama and the First Lady. "So far, two people Prince Ofori and Yayra Abiwu are in police custody assisting with the ongoing investigation, while efforts are underway to get other persons believed to be connected to the video to assist with the investigation."
