Justice Nana Barima Yaw Kodie Oppong, the Director of Legal Education and head of the Ghana School of Law, will officially step down from his role on August 31, 2025.
In a farewell message to the students and staff of the institution, he expressed deep gratitude and shared his disappointment at the premature end of his tenure. "I am deeply grateful to the Almighty God for His love, guidance, and protection over the past three years," Justice Oppong began. "I had hoped to finish my full term or at least see through the current academic year and the forthcoming Call to the Bar ceremony for the final-year students.
But sadly, that was not to be." Addressing the students directly, he offered words of encouragement: "To our Part II students, it is my earnest prayer that every one of you will be called to the Bar this coming October.
To our Part I students, may the Almighty God grant you success and guide you through to Part II." Justice Oppong, who also holds the traditional title of Manwerehene of Akyem Abuakwa, took a moment to appreciate the management and staff of the Ghana School of Law. "May God richly bless you all and grant us success in every endeavour.
