Spanish giants Villareal have announced the signing of Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey. The 32-year-old signed a deal to join the Yellow Submarines for the 2025/26 season, with the option of a further 12 months.
The announcement of the move comes days after his first appearance in a London court over allegations of rape and sexual assault by three women.
The former Arsenal man's quest of playing in the Champions League was deemed an important factor in the proposed move to Villarreal.
The midfielder was on the radar of several clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia, but has opted to return to Spain, where he gained prominence.
