The Electoral Commission of Ghana has joined other state institutions to mourn the loss of Defence Minister Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah and 7 others who died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6.
The Commission described Dr Omane's death as a devastating loss to the nation's democratic community.
In a statement issued on Friday, August 8, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa expressed shock and dismay at the tragedy.
The crash occurred while Dr Omane Boamah and seven others were en route from Accra to Obuasi.
