The people of Tamale Central are grieving following the death of their Member of Parliament, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, in a tragic military helicopter crash.
The sad news has gripped the constituency, as mourners gathered at the NDC party office to grieve a man they considered not just a politician, but a brother and servant of the people.
Cries of sorrow echoed through the crowds, many still struggling to accept the reality of his passing.
Dr Murtala, who also served as Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, was on board the Ghana Air Force helicopter that lost radar contact after taking off from Accra.
