Former Hearts of Oak forward Asamoah Boateng Afriyie has left the shores of Ghana for England to undergo trial session with Cheltenham Town.

Afriyie, who recently parted ways with the Ghanaian giants departed Ghana on Wednesday night to join the clubs preseason training in an attempt to secure a move before the commencement of the new season.

Boateng, who previously played for Legon Cities and Nations FC, signed for Hearts of Oak in July 2024.

However, his stint with the Phobians was short-lived, as he struggled for form and minutes before parting ways with the club at the end of the season.
