The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has cleared the Krofrom Market of weeds in anticipation of the return of contractors to the site.
The contractors are expected to resume work soon to fulfill President 's promise to complete the market facility.
A team of workers led by the Kumasi Mayor Richard Ofori (Zuba) has rid the market off all weeds which took over the project.
The market's traders have been operating in the area for over 20 years and have appealed to the government to prioritize them when the market construction is fully completed.
