Ghana has warmly received the newly appointed United Nations Resident Coordinator, His Excellency Zia Choudhury, marking another chapter in the country's longstanding cooperation with the global body.

In a Facebook post sighted by MyNewsGh, Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, expressed delight over the new envoy's arrival and reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to the values and principles enshrined in the UN Charter. "Ghana is pleased and honoured to welcome a new United Nations Resident Coordinator.

With great delight, I received the open letters of His Excellency Zia Choudhury," Ablakwa stated.

As the United Nations marks its 80th anniversary, the lawmaker underscored Ghana's unshaken support for multilateralism and its significant contributions to global peace.
