In a move aimed at strengthening Ghana's tourism sector, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has inaugurated a new Governing Board for the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) in Accra.
The Minister charged the newly sworn-in members to offer strategic leadership, prioritize sustainability, and help position tourism as a pillar of economic growth.
Addressing the board during a brief ceremony, the Minister highlighted the weight of their mandate. "Your role comes with many challenges.
The survival, or otherwise, of the institution depends on the leadership you provide," she said, urging members to uphold professionalism, transparency, and effective resource management.
