Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has appealed to Ghanaians and the media to respect the privacy of the family of the late highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, as they mourn his passing. Her call came during a visit to the family home, where she extended her condolences and fulfilled customary obligations on behalf of the Ministry and the creative arts community."This is a difficult time for the family, and we must all show compassion by respecting their privacy," the Minister said, expressing special sympathy to the widow of the celebrated musician. "His passing is a huge loss to the creative community and to the nation." Hon.
Gomashie commended Daddy Lumba's immense contribution to Ghana's highlife music, describing him as a uniquely gifted artist whose works have inspired generations.
She said his legacy will continue to live on through the timeless songs he gave to the nation.
