Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani says the decision to move the club's pre-season training to the Army Combat Training School in Teshie was deliberately made to evaluate the physical endurance and mental resilience of his players.
According to Dramani, this second phase of the team's preparations is structured to push individuals beyond their comfort zones and build a squad capable of enduring the demands of a full competitive season. "The idea is to assess the physical status of every individual and strengthen their capacity to withstand pressureâboth physically and mentally," Dramani told the club's media. "This is about knowing your limits and then going beyond them." The Phobians began this new phase after weeks of groundwork at their Kpobiman training centre.
The exercises at Teshie are being conducted under intense, military-style conditions with an emphasis on fitness, discipline, and group cohesion.
The training model, anchored in sports science, involves close monitoring of recovery and injury prevention as the players undergo heightened physical workload.
