Sudan enter the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with quiet belief under the guidance of Kwesi Appiah, the experienced Ghanaian coach tasked with guiding the Northeast African country back to prominence in continental football.

The Falcons of Jediane will be making their third appearance in the tournament, which features players drawn exclusively from domestic leagues.

Their route to qualification saw them overcome Tanzania on penalties after a 1-1 draw over two legs, followed by a 2-1 aggregate win against Ethiopia.

The campaign marked a positive step under Appiah, who was appointed in September 2023 after the exit of Moroccan coach Badou Zaki.
