The Black Stars pacey winger started and played full throttle of the match as his outfit cruised to a resounding 5-2 victory over Tijuana in a high-stake clash, held at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
Painstil emerged as the hero for LA Galaxy, scoring twice and providing an assist to inspire his outfit to victory in the first round of the Leagues Cup.
LA Galaxy broke the deadlock after just 17 minutes into the match through Matheus Nascimento before Gilberto Mora swiftly leveled the score in the 21st-minute mark for Tijuana.
