The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Abgodza has acknowledged the deplorable state of roads across the country.
According to him, the current condition of the road network is not something the country can be proud of. "The fact is that if we had significant improvement of roads around the country, we wouldn't be hearing the kind of agitation we are having across the country.
The fact is that the road condition across the country is nothing any of us should be proud of," the minister said this on Citi FM on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Agbodza stated that despite the consistent efforts by the previous government through its road initiatives to address the issue, the results fell short of expectations.
