A 29-year-old woman, identified as Vera Akosua Asare, has been rearrested by the Koforidua Police following the death of her boyfriend after an acid attack.
Daniel Omane, a phone dealer, was reportedly attacked while asleep in his room in March 2025 by his girlfriend, allegedly over suspicions of infidelity.
The suspicions caused a strain on the relationship, leading to the deceased calling off the relationship.
He initially sustained life threatening injuries from the acid attack and was referred from the Eastern Regional Hospital to the Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery Centre at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in February, where he had been undergoing treatment and skin grafting.
