Black Queens forward Stella Nyamekye says they are mentally prepared to face South Africa on Friday.

Ghana will face Bayana Bayana in the third-place playoff in the ongoing 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The Queens suffered a 4-2 penalty loss to Morocco after a 1-1 draw in regulation time and extra time, while South Africa, the defending champions, suffered a 2-1 loss against Nigeria in the semifinal games.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Nyamekye highlighted the team's readiness. "We have prepared very well for this game," she said. "Per the training we have had, we are mentally prepared for this game," Nyamekye added.
