Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has joined South African top-flight club Durban City FC following the expiration of his contract with the Porcupine Warriors.
The move is part of a raft of changes at Kotoko after a disappointing campaign, with Asare among several players to depart the club.
Reports suggest the 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal and is eager to embrace the challenge of playing in the DStv Premiership.
Asare joined Kotoko from Accra Lions in 2022 and enjoyed some standout moments during his time in Kumasi, including winning the MTN FA Cup in 2025.
