Joana Gyan Cudjoe has been re-elected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central.
Her re-election came through acclamation after her strongest contender, the incumbent Member of Parliament, Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah, stepped down from the race following the vetting process on Saturday.
The decision by Ackah to withdraw from the contest paved the way for Joana Gyan Cudjoe to be elected unopposed.
The total number of expected delegates at the Amenfi Central Constituency of the NDC was 1,490 but at the end of the election or acclamation on Sunday, the number of delegates present was 1430.
