Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Ghana Business School, Lord Mensah, who has been appointed by President as the new Head of the Local Government Service, has responded to claims regarding his alleged affiliation with the ruling (NDC).
According to him, while he is not a registered member of the NDC, he aligns with the party's ideology.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime on July 2, 2025, he was asked directly if he was an NDC member.
He responded, "Not necessarily, but then also, you came to your office through a particular government.
