The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled power outages in selected areas of the Greater Accra Region on Friday, July 18, 2025.
According to a report by graphic.com.gh on July 18, ECG issued a public notice to announce the scheduled outages which form part of ongoing efforts to enhance electricity distribution and service delivery.
Planned maintenance works will be carried out between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, during which several communities within ECG's operational areas are expected to be affected.
The areas expected to experience power outage during the maintenance include: Sowutuom, Israel, Race Course, Shiabu, Beach Road, Gbawe Gonse, Joma Agbozome, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai Doblo, Fise Roca, Mericresent, Opah Township, Red Gate, and surrounding communities.
