Prince Osei Owusu was on target once more, but it wasn't enough as CF Montreal slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat away to Philadelphia Union in Round 23 of Major League Soccer.
The German-Ghanaian forward gave Montréal fans a moment to cheer just before halftime, finishing smartly in the 45+2 minute from close range after Joel Waterman's well-placed cross.
That equalizer cancelled out Tai Baribo's opener for the hosts in the 37th minute.
Owusu, who played the full 90 minutes, impressed with four total shots, one of which struck the woodwork, and was a constant threat throughout.
