Leading member of the ruling (NDC), Dr Tony Aidoo, has expressed his displeasure over the failure of the state prosecutorial agencies to successfully prosecute any person for engaging in acts of corruption.
Speaking in an interview on JoyNews on Thursday, July 17, 2025, Dr Aidoo, a former Senior Presidential Aide, took issue with the Office of the Special Prosecutor and its head, Kissi Agyebeng, especially.
According to him, the Special Prosecutor, Agyebeng, does not seem to know what he is doing and only makes big public pronouncements. "So far, you've had the Attorney General, in quest for transparency, coming out to reveal steps that he is taking to bring certain persons to book.
But so far, we haven't seen any prosecution yet, and I don't trust the Special Prosecutor.
