The 3rd Vice Chairman of the (NDC), Yakubu Abanga, has strongly criticised the Attorney General's decision to refer him to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) for investigation over alleged involvement in illegal mining activities.
In a phone interview with Adom TV, Abanga admitted to owning a concession but clarified, "I have a concession, but as we speak, I'm not working." He explained that due to the nature of the business, he could not disclose details about the directors and associates involved with the concession.
Abanga dismissed the allegations as unfounded and premature, describing the Attorney General's action as "rushed." "I practice legal mining.
