The Accra Regional Police Command has announced active steps to address violent incidents recorded during the Ablekuma North Parliamentary re-run held on Friday, July 11, 2025.
In a press release dated July 17, the police stated that they are currently reviewing and analyzing multiple video recordings of the events that occurred at various polling stations to identify all those involved.
The command has also begun taking statements from complainants and witnesses to support ongoing investigations. "The Police have also gathered vital leads and wish to assure the public that arrests will be effected soon," the statement read.
Meanwhile, victims of the assaults have been provided with Police Medical Report Forms.
