Edward Bomané Boamah has condemned recent acts of violence in Bawku, describing the shooting of two soldiers and the destruction of a cherished statue as unacceptable and shameful.
Speaking at an All Ranks durbar with personnel of Garrisons 1 and 5 at Burma Camp, Dr.
Boamah didn't mince words. "I condemned the destruction of the cherished statue in Bawku over the weekend," he said. "Government will rebuild that statue, and we expect that those responsible will face appropriate sanctions." He expressed deep concern about discipline within the ranks of the Ghana Armed Forces, particularly soldiers who secretly provide protection for unauthorized individuals.
