Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has praised the togetherness and fighting spirit of his squad following their emphatic victory over Tanzania.

Ghana wrapped up the group stage of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with an impressive 4-1 win against the East African side on Monday night at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.

The victory came after a difficult start to the tournament, which saw the Black Queens suffer a 2-0 defeat to defending champions South Africa and settle for a 1-1 draw against Mali.

Speaking to CAF Media after the game, Björkegren highlighted the importance of the team's unity, both on and off the field. "We played as a team, and this has been crucial for us on and off the pitch," the Swiss tactician said.
