Benjamin Henrichs has taken the first real step on his long road back to full fitness with RB Leipzig.
After nearly seven months out with a torn Achilles tendon, the German-Ghanaian defender was back at the club's training ground on Monday, not in team drills, but on the pitch nonetheless.
Following a focused two-week stint at the Red Bull Performance Center in Los Angeles, Henrichs returned to Leipzig for the start of pre-season.
Though he didn't join team sessions, he was seen working individually with the ball, an encouraging sign for fans hoping to see the full-back return soon.
