The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has warned the public against the circulation of fraudulent information targeting applicants of its ongoing recruitment for the Community Police Assistants and Fire Service Assistants modules.
In a statement issued on July 14, 2025, the agency expressed concern over the spread of false messages, particularly those demanding payment of GH¢500.00 as a recruitment fee. "The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has noted with concern the circulation of fraudulent messages targeting applicants of the ongoing recruitment for our Community Police Assistants and Fire Service Assistants Modules," the statement said. "We wish to inform the general public that YEA does not charge any fees at any stage of its recruitment process.
Any demand for payment, including the widely reported GH¢500.00 scam, is false and should be ignored," it added.
YEA further warned applicants not to respond to such messages or calls from private or unknown numbers, explaining that all official communications are strictly made through its official website, www.yea.gov.gh, and other verified agency channels.
