The Gbese Mantse Peace Cup, part of Accra's Homowo festival, was officially unveiled on Monday, confirming August 17 at Accra Sports Stadium for a clash between Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions.

Club communications chief Kwame Opare Addo says the Phobians view the fixture as both a cultural celebration and a competitive duty they plan to meet with full strength.

Defending champions Hearts of Oak are looking to maintain their dominance in the competition, while Heart of Lions are eager to make a strong statement this time around.

Opare Addo reaffirmed the club's commitment to cultural preservation and national unity. "We will go out there on the 17th of August and do our best by making sure that at the end of the day, we go home with the trophy," he said. "Accra Hearts of Oak is proud to support that." Heart of Lions administrator Stephen Botchwey also welcomed the opportunity. "We see it as a great chance; first, to compete with our big brothers and second, to promote peace across the country," he said.
