The Western Regional Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one suspect in connection with an armed robbery attack on a gold-buying shop in the Mpohor District on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
According to a statement signed by Superintendent Olivia E Adiku, Head of Public Affairs at the Regional Police Headquarters, Sekondi, the gang of robbers stormed the shop, making away with an unspecified amount of money.
In the course of the attack, one individual sustained injury.
Police disclosed that the injured victim is currently responding to treatment, while efforts are being intensified to apprehend the remaining members of the gang who are still on the run. "One suspect has been picked and is assisting in the investigation, whilst strenuous efforts are underway to arrest the remaining suspects.
