Accra Hearts of Oak are champions of the 2025 Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Cup after brushing aside fellow Ghana Premier League side Heart of Lions with a 2-0 victory.

After weeks of anticipation, the two Ghanaian top-flight clubs locked horns on Sunday, August 17, at the Accra Sports Stadium to battle for the trophy.

Both teams set up strongly and made their intent to win right from the start of the first half.

After a series of end-to-end action, Hearts of Oak broke the deadlock in the 36th minute when new signing Frank Duku scored after he was served on a plate by Ali Mohammed.
