German-Ghanaian forward Moritz-Broni Kwarteng is set to for a lengthy spell on the sideline following an injury setback at training.

The 27-year-old, who is in the books of German outfit Vfl Bochum sustained a lateral collateral ligament injury to his knee during training on Friday, ruling him out of action for an indefinite period.

Kwarteng will not travel with the team for the preseason training tour scheduled to take place in Scheffau, Austria as he is expected to miss the preparation period for the upcoming 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign.

The injury come as a huge setback for Bochum as the club gear up for the new season.
