Security at the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has been heightened in anticipation of a planned protest by some members of the (NPP) at the premises.
The planned protest, announced by the National Youth Organiser of the NPP, Salam Mustapha, is in response to the continued detention of the former National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) CEO, Abdul Hanan Wahab, who remains in EOCO custody following his arrest.
A video shared by Channel One TV on Monday, July 7, 2025, shows a police pickup vehicle loaded with barricades being offloaded, as police personnel mount the barricades at the entrance of EOCO's head office.
The current scene at the premises appears calm, with little movement.
