Parliament has adjourned its sitting to Tuesday, July 8, following the unexpected death of Ernest Yaw Kumi, the Member of Parliament for Akwatia.

The announcement was made on the floor of the House by Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who expressed shock over the news, noting that there had been no prior indication of illness.
