Parliament is set to commence extended sittings from Monday, July 7, 2025, as it intensifies efforts to complete outstanding legislative work ahead of its planned adjournment on Saturday, July 12.

Announcing the change during the presentation of the Business Statement for the seventh week, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga highlighted that the House would now meet on both Mondays and Saturdays to fast-track the consideration of Legislative Instruments (LIs) that need to mature before the end of the session.

The Majority Leader who also chairs the Business Committee, indicated that the week ahead will be demanding, with 55 ministers of state and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr.

Johnson Asiama, expected to appear before the House to respond to parliamentary questions.
