India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, during his official state visit to Ghana, paid a solemn tribute to Ghana's founding father, Osagyefo Dr.
Kwame Nkrumah, as part of his tour of Parliament.
The symbolic moment, which drew both local and international attention, was highlighted by Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in a reflective social media post.
Ablakwa noted that Modi's gesture was not only respectful but historically significant, tying back to the deep-rooted diplomatic relations between Ghana and India.
