Member of the Information and Communications Committee of Parliament, Davis Ansah Opoku, has lauded the call by Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, for a 30% reduction in DStv subscription fees.
He described it as a commendable intervention that echoes public sentiment.
Speaking in an interview with Channel One News on Friday, July 4, Opoku said the directive not only addresses the concerns of pay-TV subscribers but also underscores the urgent need for broader reforms in the telecommunications and digital services sector.
He pointed out that the recent appreciation of the Ghana cedi should already have triggered a corresponding reduction in digital service prices.
